BLUEPRINT - An in depth description of a customer's website.
BOUDOIR - Intimate photography usually comprising nightgowns, lingerie and various stages of undress.
CHAPERONE - A person who accompanies a model to a photo shoot.
CHROMA KEY - A green or blue screen used as a background in a photo. This screen can be removed digitally and replaced with any desired background.
DOC - Microsoft Word's standard document format.
DPI (Dots Per Inch) - The number of digital dots in an inch comprising text or an image. The higher the dpi, the better the clarity and higher the resolution.
DUPLEX - Scanning or printing both the front and back of a document page at the same time.
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) - Website programming language used to comprise text, graphics, sound, links and video.
IMAGERY - The art of altering images to repair, correct or completely recreate existing images to compose a desired visual effect.
IMPLIED NUDITY - Photographing a model without clothing (or with limited clothing), but in such a way that genitalia, breasts and/or bottom is not exposed.
LOCATION - Place chosen for photoshoot outside of the photographer's studio.
NUDE - Photographing a model without clothes. Photographs may show nudity, implied nudity, or no nudity at all (such as a bare back). Click "HERE" for more on Snider Media Solutions policy on nude photography.
OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION (OCR) - Converting scanned document pages from images into text. Files may be saved as PDF, TXT, RTF or DOC files.
PDF (PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT) - Common document format. Reader for PDF files is a free download from Adobe.
PHOTOSHOOT - Meeting between a photographer and model for the purpose of taking photographs.
PROJECT - A outlined set of photos, website, animation, etc. on a specified projet or taking place in a specific location.
PROPOSAL - An offer of services to be performed for an offered price.
RTF (RICH TEXT FORMAT) - Text format allowing for graphics, colored text, differing text size and more.
SCANNING - Converting images and documents into a digital format.
SMS (Snider Media Solutions) - The business website you are currently on.
STUDIO - Photographers chosen location for photo shoots. Currently Snider Media Solutions studio shoots are done at the home of Henry Snider or at Nova 1 Talent's office.
TIME FOR CD/PRINT (TFP / TFCD) - An exchange of services between a model and photographer. The model provides services in exchange for a CD/DVD and/or prints from the photoshoot.
TXT (TEXT) - Standard text format. No font size changes, etc.
'XML (EXTENSIBLE MARKUP LANGUAGE) - Similar to HTML, allows documents to be parsed (divided and shown on other pages)
